Intense, complex flavour with spicy notes, hints of eucalyptus and sweet fruit, and a fragrant scent of oak. Well balanced and full bodied.


402    Valpolicella Vendemmia (Bertani) Veneto 12.5% ¦ 2017 

Hand harvested from 24 year old vines situated in the s. Ambrogio Hills near Lake Garda. The wine has a red ruby colour delicate almond bouquet and a dry velvety flavour.


403    Bansella Nizza (Prunotto) Piedmont 14.5% ¦ 2016 

Light to medium bodied with hints of cherry fruit on a soft structure.


404    Dolcetto d'Alba (Prunotto) Piedmont 13% ¦ 2017  

Superb deep colour intensely perfumed with raspberry and violet concentrated sweet fruit leading to a firm ripe mouthful of soft red fruit flavours (unfiltered).


405    Merlot Varneri (Marco Felluga) Veneto 13.5% ¦ 2016 

The wine opens with aromas of red berries and cherry jam, which lead to a rich, medium-bodied palate with a lovely balance of fruit and savoury, tobacco notes.


406    Valpolicella Ripasso (Bertani) Veneto 13.5% ¦ 2016   

Attractive, aromatic nose dominated by cherries and spice. Well-balanced, full-bodied palate with notes of ripe red fruit, cherry liqueur and blackcurrants.


407    Nebbiolo d'Alba ‘Occhetti’ (Prunotto) Piedmont 14% ¦ 2016  

A high quality Nebbiolo. It has good structure with hints of leather and red berries. Good alternative to Barolo or Barbaresco.


408    Barbaresco Coste Rubin (Fontanafredda) Piedmont 13.5% ¦ 2014   

The bouquet is complex, with ethereal, spicy overtones intense vanilla, cooked fruit and cinnamon. A velvety and well-balanced flavour lingers on the palate.


409    Barolo (Fontanafredda) Piedmont 13.5% ¦ 2014   

A garnet red colour with a delicate, appealing, intense bouquet, reminiscent of violets and dry roses, alcohol-soaked cherries, vanilla, tobacco, truffles and pepper. The taste is full, robust, austere but velvety and harmonious.


410    Secco-Bertani ‘Super Ripasso’ (Bertani) Veneto 13.5% ¦ 2015    

A sour cherry palate, black tea and cherry pit. A dusty tannin profile with mid-palate grip and a generous coffee bean finish.


411    Amarone della Valpolicella Valpantena (Bertani) Veneto 15.5% ¦ 2016    

Deep dark ruby with violet rim, notes of buck, sour berries, spices and dried fruit. The palate is creamy with soft tannins and integrated oak.


Northern Regions

A fresh and savory red with plum and berry character and hints of dried meat. Medium to full body, clean finish.


413    Amarone Reserva Costasera Masi (Appaximento) Veneto 15.5% ¦ 2012 

Intense vinous bouquet; It has a dark, rich and deep smoky aromas. The finish on the palate is elegant, warm and long. Full bodied.

An ample and complex aromas of violets and berry fruit, which is full and velvety in flavour and very balanced.

419    Peppoli Chianti Classico (Antinori) Tuscany 13.5% ¦ 2016  

A young wine produced in Chianti, by the Antinori family, next door to the Tignanello vineyard. Has a presence of Merlot that soften the tannins, velvety, vibrant and fruity.


420    Spelt Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo Riserva (La Valentina) Abruzzi 13.5% ¦ 2015 

A vivid, complex aroma of super ripe strawberries and spice leads to a full, dry, powerful palate that retains masterful balance despite its weight.


421    Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (La Braccesca) Tuscany 13.5% ¦ 2013   

Refined, with cherry, raspberry and floral flavors. The structure is more gossamer than steel, delivering a fine aftertaste of tobacco and mineral.


422    Cumaro Conero Riserva (Umani Ronchi) Marche 14% ¦ 2013   

Shows good density of ripe mulberry, cherry and bramble fruit layered with chocolate and spice draped around a framework of fine-grained tannins and leavened by refreshing acidity.


423    Le Volte Dell’ Ornellaia (Ornellaia) Tuscany 14% ¦ 2016  

The late ripening of the grapes expresses the crispness and freshness of the fruit. The palate is silky, refined and without any sharp edges, albeit with a lower density. It is a balanced, harmonious and very drinkable wine.

Mature and ready to enjoy; structured and balanced with cherry flavours.

430    Primitivo (Botromagno) Puglia 14% ¦ 2017    

On the nose it shows deep, crushed mixed black fruit, berries, plums, hints of liquorice, root and herbs. A rich and full-bodied wine. On the palate; concentration of blackberry, cherries, black plum and layers of dark chocolate.


431    Salice Salentino Riserva ‘La Carta’ (Candido) Puglia 13.5% ¦ 2015  

Robust  and rustic with dried fruit flavours accompanied by a creamy bitter-chocolate character, balanced by moderate acidity and smoky oak, with a superb length.


432    Etna Rosso (Planeta) Sicily 14% ¦ 2017 

A soft red wine with flesh and structure. Characteristic of the area the notes of plums, raspberries and green tomato leaves.


433    Cannonau I Fiori (Pala) Sardinia 14% ¦ 2017 

An unusual Cannonau, fruit driven, soft tannins, good fruit concentration and medium bodied.


434    Duca d'Aragona Salento Rosso (Candido) Puglia 14.5% ¦ 2013  

Very intense on the nose, clear and fragrant. Enormously satisfying on the palate, combining warmth and austerity with a fine harmony of flavours ranging from roasted coffee beans, tobacco and spice and a fine well integrated hint of new oak.


435    Merlot Sito Dell’umo (Planeta) Sicily 14% ¦ 12/13 

Bilberry notes followed by a floral bouquet, vanilla and toast. Velvety and rich in the mouth, with creamy, elegant tannins and a fresh, pleasant length.


436    Marchese di Villamarina Alghero (Sella & Mosca) Sardinia 13.5% ¦ 2010  

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Tenuta I Piani, is a limited production. Aged for 18 months in barrique, this full ruby wine has a deep, herby bouquet and rich, velvety, warm flavour.

Full-bodied for Fleurie, with plenty of oomph to match the trademark floral character, and complex nuances, both savoury and fruity.

A delightfully aromatic nose, exotic but well balanced. A mouthful of flavour, rich and full bodied.


503    Chat.  Montaiguillon (Montagne St. Emilion) Bordeaux 13.5% ¦ 2012   

Ripe cassis gives richness on the nose and a sweet fleshy start to the palate. The mid palate is firmer with lots of black cherry and the freshness at the back coming from the red fruit influence. There is a good balance between sweet fruit and freshness.

Beautifully balanced female full of intense red and black fruit. Velvet soft tannins, good structure, long finish.

All the richness of old vines gives this powerful, aromatic Nuits a wonderful texture, complex flavours of blackberry, blackcurrant and smoke, and a long, silky finish.


506    Volnay Premier Cru ‘Santenots’ (Vincent Girardin) Burgundy 13.5% ¦ 2012

Highly aromatic with notes of violets and subtle oak lashings, with a good balance of fruit and vanilla oak on a plummy red fruit finish.


507    Gevrey Chambertin (Domaine Perrot Minot) Burgundy 13% ¦ 11/12 

Rich, resonant Gevrey, with blackberry, blueberry and violet aromas, a very suave, silky texture, and a long supple finish.


508    Chateau Kirwan Grand Cru (Margaux) Bordeaux 13% ¦ 2012 

A little subdued on the nose, reticent but not completely shut down, showing just a little appealing perfume of fruit. Lot of tannin on the palate, but there is good texture to match, and appropriate acidity.


509    Chateau Chantalouette (Pomerol) Bordeaux 14% ¦ 2012  

Thoroughly enjoyable, ripe plums, blackberries, raspberries and blackcurrants laced with delicate toasted spices.


International Red

510    Malbec (Finca Decero) Argentina 13.5% ¦ 2016 

Intense violet aromatics and bright freshness and acidity, which has come to define Decero Malbec. Elegant tannin complexity, reflects beautifully integrated oak tannins following 14 months in French oak.


511    Conde de Valdemar Reserva Rioja (Bodegas) Spain 13.5% ¦ 2011 

Complex aromas with subtle spicy notes and ripe black fruit touches. Potent and fleshy, taste of ripe fruits and oak. Long and persistent finish.
